China’s major copper smelters raise Q4 TC/RCs price floor by nearly 10%

China’s top copper smelters agreed to raise the price floor for fourth-quarter treatment and refining charges (TC/RCs) by nearly 10% from the prior quarter at a conference in Ningde city, Fujian province on Tuesday September 29, sources familiar with the matter told Fastmarkets.

The smelters set the fourth-quarter price floor at $58 per tonne / 5.8 cents per lb, up from $53 / 5.3 cents in the third quarter.
