US ferrous scrap export market subdued

The United States' ferrous scrap export market remained quiet on Wednesday October 7, with no cargo deals reported while recyclers operating at the docks adjusted their buying prices further this week amid expectations of lower-priced sales.

On the East Coast, Fastmarkets assessed the steel scrap No1 heavy melt, export yard buying price, delivered to yard Philadelphia and delivered to yard Boston at $225 and $230 per gross ton respectively on October 5, both unchanged from the previous week.
