Exports totaled 97,312 tonnes in September, up by 19.7% from 81,295 tonnes in the same month last year and by 75.7% from 55,377 tonnes in August

Most of that increase – both on an annual basis and sequentially – was a result of 40,966 tonnes being shipped to China from the southernmost state of Rio Grande do Sul. Excluding that volume, exports would have totaled 56,346 tonnes, a 30.7% year-on-year drop.
