TURKEY LONG STEEL EXPORTS: Mills secure rebar bookings to keep prices steady

The Turkish export markets for steel rebar have revived with fresh deals, keeping prices steady, while steel wire rod export prices have gone down because of weakening imported scrap costs, sources said on Thursday October 15.

Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for steel reinforcing bar (rebar), export, fob main port Turkey, was $440-450 per tonne on Thursday, unchanged week on week.
The mills in the country continued to offer material at around $445-450 per tonne fob on an actual weight basis, and managed to secure some bookings at $440-450 per tonne.
