TURKEY LONG STEEL: Domestic prices rise on weakening lira

Turkish domestic rebar and wire rod prices have continued to increase over the past week on a weakening of the country’s lira against the US dollar, market sources said on Thursday October 15.

Domestic prices for long steel products in Turkey typically rise in line with a strengthening US dollar because mills buy most of their raw materials in dollars and sell their finished products in Turkish lira.
