During the assessment week, buying activity in Poland’s rebar market was reported to be only moderate, sources said.
“The restocking [drive] is over and the market is on standby,” one trading source said.
“Construction is still stable but [demand from that sector] will probably cool off in the coming months,” a second trader said.
The short supply of rebar in the market and the limited availability of imports were two factors supporting prices.
