Brazilian steelmaker Gerdau's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) increased by 68% year on year in the third quarter of 2020 because of the recovery in the Brazilian domestic market and a steady performance in North America.

In brief The company’s Ebitda reached 2.03 billion Reais ($360 million) in the third quarter (July-September), compared with 1.21 billion Reais in the same period a year before. The company’s net revenues rose by 23% to 12.22 billion Reais from 9.93 billion Reais mainly on higher steel sales volumes in most of the company’s markets. ...
