TURKEY LONG STEEL EXPORTS: Prices rise on strong demand, higher scrap costs

Export prices for Turkish rebar and wire rod continued to rise over the past week, due to firm demand and increasing scrap costs, sources said on Thursday November 19.

Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for steel reinforcing bar (rebar), export, fob main port Turkey, was $490-510 per tonne on Thursday, up from last week’s $470-475 per tonne fob on an actual-weight basis.
