TAIWAN STEEL SCRAP: Price rise eases on weakening appetite

The continual price inclines for imported scrap in Taiwan have started easing in the week to Friday November 20 on weakening buyer appetite, market sources told Fastmarkets.

Fastmarkets’ daily price assessment for containerized cargoes of steel scrap, HMS 1&2 (80:20), US material import, cfr main port Taiwan was $305-310 per tonne on Friday November 20, widening upward by $5 per tonne from the previous day and up by $7-10 per tonne from $298-300 per tonne on November 13.
