Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for
steel hot-rolled (HR) sheet, domestic, cpt Moscow, Russia was at 45,000-48,000 roubles ($590-629) per tonne including 20% value-added tax on Monday, up from 43,500-44,000 roubles per tonne a week earlier.
Domestic producers increased offers for December material this week on a stronger export market and shortage of material in the market, sources said.
Severstal, one of the key suppliers to the region, was targeting 49,400 roubles per tonne for December tonnages, up from 46,500 roubles per tonne for November material, but the price was not included in the assessment because buyers considered it too high.
