EUROPE HRC WRAP: Domestic prices keep rising on material shortage

Domestic prices for steel hot-rolled coil increased again across Europe in the week to Friday November 20, due to tight supply from both domestic and overseas suppliers.

Fastmarkets calculated its daily steel hot-rolled coil index, domestic, exw Northern Europe, at €541.25 ($641.66) per tonne on Friday, up by €16.15 per tonne week on week and by €44.75 per tonne month on month.
Friday’s index was based on the latest deals heard at €540-550 per tonne ex-works and achievable prices reported at €530-550 per tonne ex-works.
