CHINA REBAR: Eastern prices rebound on rising demand ahead of weekend

Eastern China’s rebar prices rose on Friday November 27 due to an uptick in demand ahead of the weekend, but prices still remain 100 yuan ($15) per tonne lower than a week ago due to a steady decline over the past four days.

Eastern China (Shanghai): 4,090-4,120 yuan per tonne, up by 30 yuan per tonne
Northern China (Beijing) weekly assessment: 3,790-3,840 yuan per tonne, down by 60 yuan per tonne
Clearer weather across most parts of eastern China led to an increase in end-user demand, market sources said.
