The Polish rebar market continued to move up in line with the rises being seen in the
long steel and
raw materials markets.
Almost all domestic rebar producers were already sold out for December-rolling rebar, sources said.
“Only ArcelorMittal Warszawa is not sold out for December production,” one trader said.
“Demand is good, [but] there is not much material in the market,” a second trader said.
Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for
steel reinforcing bar (rebar), domestic, exw Poland, was 2,000-2,050 zloty ($533-546) per tonne on Friday, up from 1,960-2,000 zloty per tonne a week earlier.
The assessment included offers, deals and achievable prices heard in the market during the review period.
