US ferro-titanium price jumps 24%; hits new peak

Ferro-titanium prices have been rising quickly on continued supply shortages in the United States and Europe, with the US price spiking by 24% week on week to reach a new peak.

Fastmarkets assessed the price for ferro-titanium, 68-72% Ti, ex-whs, US at $3.55-3.85 per lb on Thursday December 17, an all-time high since Fastmarkets began assessing this price in March 2017. The current price is up by 24.37% from $2.85-3.10 per lb on December 10, which was the assessment’s highest since mid-November 2017; in the week to December 10, the price jumped by 16.67% from $2.45-2.65 per lb on December 3.
