POLAND REBAR: Price continues to surge despite impending holiday season

The domestic steel rebar price in Poland increased sharply in the week to Thursday December 24, driven by a shortage of raw materials, with further rises expected in January, sources told Fastmarkets.

The price rally in the Polish rebar market has continued, despite the approaching holiday period.
Some Polish producers have reportedly sold out of January rolling rebar, while others have not yet announced their offers for January material, waiting for a clearer picture on raw materials supplies, sources said..
