Several steel producers in Bajío and nearby San Luis Potosí state have increased their buying prices by around 200 pesos ($10) per tonne for most grades, in order to secure volumes, according to market sources.
Fastmarkets assessed the steel scrap, No1 busheling, consumer buying price, delivered mill Bajío, at 8,650 pesos ($430) per tonne on January 12, an increase of 250 pesos per tonne from 8,400 pesos per tonne in the previous week....
