Indonesia's Dexin Steel aims for 20 mln tpy steelmaking capacity

Indonesia's Dexin Steel is looking to raise its steelmaking capacity to 20 million tonnes per year sometime in the future, Japanese trader Hanwa Co - a shareholder in the mill - has said, though it did not specify when this would be achieved.

The company "has already reached a basic agreement with the Indonesian government and is currently selecting candidate sites," Hanwa said last week.
The mill aims to start up a third blast furnace by December 2022 as part of this plan.

This is currently under construction at its steel works...
