CHINA REBAR: Prices stop rising on sparse trading

China’s domestic rebar prices lost upward momentum on Friday February 26 compared with a day earlier due to weak demand, but prices maintained a weekly rise of 150 yuan per tonne in the eastern region, sources said.

Eastern China (Shanghai): 4,620-4,650 yuan ($716-721) per tonne, unchanged
Northern China (Beijing) weekly assessment: 4,490-4,520 yuan per tonne, up by 150-160 per tonne
Rain suspended the rebar trading and transportation in eastern China, putting pressures on prices, sources said.

Sellers have maintained their prices on the positive outlook for demand...
