POLAND REBAR: Market braces for post-Easter price rise

Domestic steel rebar prices in Poland were broadly flat over the past week, but market sources expected prices to increase after the Easter holidays, April 2-5, on improving end-user demand and restocking activity, Fastmarkets heard on Thursday April 1.

Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for steel reinforcing bar (rebar), domestic, exw Poland, was 2,900-2,930 ($731-739) zloty per tonne on Thursday, the same as on Friday last week.
Most local mills were sold out for April rolling rebar already, Fastmarkets heard.
Some producers were heard to have already started to test the market with higher offers, and most mills were expected to come back with new prices after the Easter holidays.
