POLAND WIRE ROD: Prices hold ground amid good buying, expected to rise more

Domestic steel wire rod prices in Poland have been steady over the past seven days, following an increase in the previous week driven by producers’ price rises, Fastmarkets heard on Thursday April 1.

Wire rod prices in Poland have stabilized after a massive increase in the previous week, with Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for steel wire rod (drawing quality), domestic, delivered Poland, at 3,050-3,100 zloty ($769-782) per tonne on April 1, widening downward slightly from 3,060-3,100 zloty per tonne delivered last week.
The assessment was based on deals, offers and achievable prices reported by market sources over the past week.
