Chinese premiums static on muted spot activity; sentiment positive despite arb loss

Nickel premiums in China were unchanged over the past week with persisting arbitrage losses and a shortened working week owing to holidays coming together to stifle spot activity.
But a narrowing in arbitrage losses on the first day after China’s Tomb Sweeping Day holiday (April 5) has raised expectations for the arbitrage window to open.
