Ferro-vanadium moves up in active spot market; supply concerns provide support

Ferro-vanadium prices in Europe moved higher in the first half of the week while spot activity increased on concerns of over supply supporting the market, sources told Fastmarkets.

Fastmarkets’ assessment of ferro-vanadium basis 78% V min, 1st grade, ddp Western Europe climbed to $33-34 per kg on Wednesday April 7, up from $31.80-32.75 per kg in the previous week with more than 45 tonnes of material changing hands so far this week.
