MJP aluminium stocks continues y-o-y decline in March

Total primary aluminium stocks at the three main Japanese ports (MJP) of Osaka, Nagoya and Yokohama fell 9% year on year at the end of March, data from Japanese trading house Marubeni on Wednesday April 21 shows.

Aluminium stocks at the three ports totaled 270,200 tonnes on March 31, down by 26,900 tonnes from 297,100 tonnes a year earlier, data shows.
There was a 0.6% or 1,500-tonne month-on-month increase from 268,700 tonnes in February 2021, however.
