CHINA HRC: Trading activity limited ahead of Labor Day holidays

China’s domestic hot-rolled coil prices weakened on Friday April 30, with only limited trading ahead of the Labor Day holiday.

Eastern China (Shanghai): 5,760-5,770 yuan ($890-892) per tonne, down 10-20 yuan per tonne
Northern China (Tangshan) - weekly assessment: 5,620-5,660 yuan per tonne, up 120-130 yuan per tonne
Several Shanghai-based traders said there had been few deals done on Friday, with most buyers suspending trading before the Labor Day holiday starting on May 1.
