India's secondary steel billet prices fall $7-8 per tonne on subdued demand

Indian domestic secondary billet prices fell by 500-600 rupees ($7-8) per tonnne in the week to Friday April 30, on subdued demand from finished steel producers, sources told Fastmarkets.

Fastmarkets' price assessment for steel billet domestic, ex-works India, was 41,200-41,300 rupees per tonne on April 30, down by 500-600 rupees compared with last week’s 41,700-41,900 rupees per tonne ex-works.
