CHINA HRC: Domestic prices hit record high

China’s domestic hot-rolled coil prices strengthened on Thursday May 6 amid strong demand, rising to record highs.

Eastern China (Shanghai): 5,910-5,920 yuan ($913-914) per tonne, up 150 yuan per tonne
Prices are at their highest since Fastmarkets’ started assessing them in August 2004.
An industry analyst says prices on Thursday are a historical high.
