CIS LONG STEEL: Prices rise amid favorable market conditions

CIS export rebar and wire rod prices continued trending upward in early May, supported by favorable market conditions, sources told Fastmarkets this week.

Rising global scrap and billet prices, along with improving demand for finished long steel prices in Russia and Turkey, were reflected in the local and export prices, resulting in higher asking prices from CIS mills.
