Brazil FY steel consumption to grow 6-8% - ArcelorMittal

The Luxembourg-based steelmaker expects apparent steel consumption to grow by 6-8% this year, it said in its first-quarter earnings report published on Thursday May 6. It was 21.23 million tonnes in 2020, a 1.18% year-on-year increase from 20.98 million tonnes, according to data from the country's steelmaker association, Instituto Aço Brasil.
