Brazilian alumina exports up 19.9% in April; bauxite falls 12%

Brazilian exports of alumina rose by 19.90% year on year in April, with volumes from Alunorte in particular increasing sharply, according to data published on Thursday May 6 by the country's economy ministry.

Alumina exports from Brazil totaled 923,437 tonnes in April, soaring from 770,149 tonnes a year before, the data showed.
