RUSSIA REBAR: Mills eye higher prices on good demand, strong exports

Steel rebar prices in Russia's Central Federal district around Moscow moved up after the Victory Day (May 10) holiday on support from firm end-user demand and bullish export volumes, sources told Fastmarkets on Tuesday May 11.

Firm offers were scarce in the market over the week because of the public holiday, sources that spoke to Fastmarkets said.
One source, however, reported that one mill, Abinsk, offered June material at 66,000 ($892) roubles per tonne delivered.
