Liberty's French mills sale attracts several bidders

Liberty Steel is exploring sales options for its France-based steelmaking assets, with several potential buyers reportedly expressing an interest in an acquisition, Fastmarkets heard on Wednesday June 2

Liberty Steel is inviting interested parties to submit offers for the Asoval and Hayange plants, the spokesperson told Fastmarkets.
Ascoval, based in Saint-Saulve in northern France, is equipped with an electric-arc furnace and has capacity to produce 600,000 tonnes per year of steel bloom, billet and other forged products.
