CHINA REBAR: Wait-and-see sentiment strengthens on uncertain industry policies

China’s domestic rebar prices dropped on Tuesday June 8 amid low trade activity because of the market uncertainty on some industry policies, mainly concerning domestic production restrictions and an export tariff, sources said.

Eastern China (Shanghai): 4,920-4,950 yuan ($770-775) per tonne, down by 80 yuan per tonne
Along with Tangshan's production restrictions, rebar production in Xuzhou city in Jiangsu province, eastern China, is also limited to a production quantity that does not surpass the volumes reached in the last few years.
