AT A GLANCE: Ternium’s Q2 earnings soar amid higher prices, volumes

Latin American steel group Ternium saw its earnings soar by 534% year on year in the second quarter of 2021, to $1.42 billion, due to higher steel shipments and prices.

Steel shipments increased by 25% year on year, to 3.07 million tonnes, with increases in Mexico and in Ternium’s Southern Region, which includes the company’s facilities in Argentina.
