GCC decides against safeguard duties on steel imports

The Ministerial Committee of the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) has decided not to impose safeguard duties on imports of steel products, it announced on Monday September 6.

The GCC countries started a safeguarding investigation into several steel products in October 2019, which included hot-rolled flat products, rebar, wire rod, sections, and both welded and seamless pipes.
