LIVE FUTURES 17/09: Few changes in LME prices on low volumes

Most futures contracts on the London Metal Exchange were slightly higher in the morning of Friday September 17, with the exception of nickel, following a Thursday session in which most metals declined.

“After a volatile day [on Thursday], which saw prices lose ground, the metals were a somewhat dull affair [to start with] this morning. There was some end-of-week short covering early on, which was to be expected [and] saw copper up to $9,433 [per tonne] and Nickel up to $19,480 [per tonne], but now prices are starting to drift again on low volumes,” Kingdom Futures director Malcolm Freeman said on Friday morning.  Indeed, copper's three-month price was at $9,400.50 per tonne...
