EUROPE HRC: Prices stable in slow market, buyers to resume trading in late October-early November

Domestic European prices for hot-rolled coil were stable on Monday October 11, mainly due to slow trading, but buyers expect to resume purchasing in late October-early November, sources told Fastmarkets.

Most European buyers have sufficient stocks to last until the year-end, and have only been purchasing smaller lots to restock particular specifications of coil.

They will, however, need to plan their inventories for the first quarter of 2022 and, taking into account the traditionally slow month of December, buyers will need to acquire more coil in late...
