Codelco enters labor deal with No2 union at Salvador copper mine

Chilean copper producer Codelco has signed a 36-month labor deal with the No2 Potrerillos workers’ union at its Salvador mine, the state-owned company said on Thursday October 21.

The new agreement, which will be in effect until 2024, was approved by 79.6% of the union’s members, Codelco added. It included no salary rise but granted a settlement bonus of 4.07 million Chilean pesos ($4,985) to each worker.
