European HRC prices mainly unchanged in slow trading

Domestic prices for hot-rolled coil remained fairly stable in Northern Europe and Italy on Monday November 22, mainly due to a lack of trading activity, sources told Fastmarkets.

European mills are currently trying to negotiate higher automotive contract prices for 2022 and have not been very active in the spot market.
Producers in Northern Europe and Italy, however, have been offering first-quarter coil at higher prices, insisting that the increases were necessary due to higher energy and emissions costs.
