Codelco enters labor agreement with Ministro Hales union

Chilean copper producer Codelco has signed a 36-month labor deal with the workers’ union at its Ministro Hales division, the state-owned company said on Tuesday November 23.

Under the deal, employees will get a settlement bonus of 5 million Chilean pesos ($6,154) each, but will receive no wage raise from the previous agreement. According to Codelco, 69% of union members approved those terms....
