Domestic European CRC, HDG prices stable; buyers, sellers waiting for clearer trend

Domestic prices for cold-rolled and hot-dipped galvanized coil in Europe were fairly stable in the week to Wednesday November 24 because buyers and producers both remained in wait-and-see mode, sources told Fastmarkets.

Spot buyers have been holding back from making new orders for the first quarter of next year because they are waiting for steelmakers to finalize their negotiations with long-term buyers, including the automotive segment.
While demand from construction and white goods industries remains healthy, the required volumes of car manufacturers next year remains uncertain.
