Turkish deep-sea scrap import prices slightly down on latest deals

Turkish steel producers have continued to book deep-sea scrap cargoes from the United States and Europe, with prices only inching down, market sources said on Thursday November 25.

A steel mill in the Marmara region booked a European cargo comprising 30,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 (80:20), 5,000 tonnes of shredded and 5,000 tonnes of a mixture of plate and structural (P&S) and HMS 1 at an average price of $492 per tonne cfr.
