CIS export billet price firm as more bookings come to light

The CIS export billet price firmed up somewhat by the end of the week ending Thursday November 25 with a few cargoes having been booked.

As a result, Fastmarkets’ daily steel billet index, export, fob Black Sea, CIS gained $1 per tonne on, reaching $611 per tonne fob.
A 30,000 tonne Ukraine-origin cargo was reportedly sold to the Dominican Republic at $690 per tonne cfr.
The fob-basis price was equivalent to $620 per tonne fob Black Sea, the seller said.
