EU mills accept lower Q4 rolling HRC prices

Domestic prices for fourth-quarter rolling hot-rolled coil in Northern Europe and Italy dropped in the week to Friday November 26 due to lack of demand from the automotive industry.

Producers, particularly in northern Europe, had high stocks of flat steel products and slab because of poor demand from the automotive industry, sources said. As a result, they accepted lower prices in order to destock by the year-end.
