Inner Mongolia's Erenhot city halts border operations over Covid-19 concerns

Import operations at the railway port of Erenhot, a city in China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region that borders Mongolia, have been suspended to stop the spread of Covid-19 via imported cargoes.

The suspension came into effect at 2pm on Sunday November 28, and applies to loading and unloading services as well, sources told Fastmarkets.
There is yet to be any timetable for operations to resume, they said.
