Zinc production in Peru down 6.5% month on month in October, copper increases

Peru's zinc output fell to 121,049 tonnes in October compared with September, Peru's Ministry of Energy & Mines (Minem) data showed on December 2, with output for all metals except copper falling too.

Production of zinc in October was not only down by 6.5% from September, when it totaled 129,525 tonnes of concentrates, but it also fell by 15.2% from October 2020, when production of zinc concentrates came to 142,741 tonnes.
