Demand remains limited in European HRC market

European hot-rolled coil buyers continued to hold back from booking significant volumes on Friday December 3, still taking their time to assess the market, sources told Fastmarkets.

Domestic HRC prices have been under downward pressure from falling steel demand from the automotive sector in the second half of 2021, caused by the global semiconductors shortage.
