Market participants expect low-carbon aluminium demand to grow entering 2022

Fastmarkets' low-carbon aluminium differentials remained firm this month, with market participants expecting higher upcharges heading into 2022.

Market participants said longer-term interest from sectors such as automotive - where there is an interest in demonstrating to general consumers the end products that can be created with a smaller carbon footprint - are expected to help support further upcharges for low-carbon aluminium and low-carbon aluminium products.
