Turkish deep-sea scrap import markets silent after a downturn in prices

Turkish steel mills went quiet in the deep-sea scrap import markets following a downturn in prices, market participants told Fastmarkets on Thursday January 13.

Two deep-sea cargoes were booked on Wednesday January 12, sending the daily scrap indices down by $6.84 per tonne day on day.
