Tin reaches new high on LME; aluminium closes above $3,000

Base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange were mixed by the 5pm close of trading on Tuesday January 18, with tin reaching a new all-time high but copper down by 0.6%.

The three-month tin price was up by 2.4% to $42,292 per tonne at the close on Tuesday, after reaching an intraday high of $42,335 per tonne, a new all-time high...
