EU to suspend trade measures on Ukrainian steel for 1 year

The European Commission (EC) has proposed suspending the import duties imposed on all Ukrainian exports to the EU for one year, including anti-dumping and safeguard measures on steel, to help alleviate the difficult situation in the country created by Russia’s military invasion, it said on Wednesday April 27.

The proposal would have to be agreed by the European Parliament and the Council of the EU, according to an EC press statement.
